The Far Reaches of Sound #14: Fort Nova

To celebrate the completion of Silversound Chronicles, the last song of which I just finished, I'm finally posting the last song on The Far Reaches of Sound, "Fort Nova". This is the longest song I've ever done, capping at just over 7 minutes, and while it may not be my best song, it was the hardest one to make in my usual style, which excludes Hide and Seek. It started with me wanting to make a song with a Bossa rhythm, and turned into a monster faux-jazz piece that completed the album. So, please enjoy the song, and keep in mind that it is very different from the other songs on this album.

Song of the Day: Sam Cooke - A Change is Gonna Come (R&B)

This is one of my favorite songs of all time, and is one of the few songs that I've really memorized and sing on a regular basis. The only other songs of this nature are "Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head" and "Lime in the Coconut", both of which I plan to post soon. Sam Cooke was a brilliant singer and songwriter, and his music has stood the test of time, at least in my book. I hope you enjoy the song, and that you have a great day!
